Sometimes it’s so easy to lose sight of the beauty of life.
In a digital world, we become easily distracted by everyday events and forget to appreciate the little things.
That’s why we need to try harder to gain perspective and remember what’s really important, whether we’re going through a rough time or just struggling to maintain our constantly-busy schedules.
Here’s your friendly reminder that life is supposed to be enjoyable.
Sure, it has its challenges, but it’s not meant to be straight-forward. You’ve got to go through the downs to truly appreciate the ups.
Essentially, you’ve got to grab life with both hands because it won’t be long before it’s gone.
Struggling to see the positive in a negative situation? Not to worry, I’m here to help you. Read on 10 reasons why life is beautiful on an average day.
1. You’re Physically Well
Reasons why life is beautiful 101: you wake up on an average day and, besides needing coffee to get you going, you feel good.
You’re likely to be well-rested after having a great night’s sleep, and your health is on top form. Aren’t you a lucky one?
After all, there are tons of people around the globe who have chronic illnesses, disabilities and mental health problems that affect their ability to live a normal life.
Therefore, it’s important to never take your physical or mental health for granted.
2. There’s a Whole World Out There to Explore
Whether you’re only just starting to explore the world or you’ve got the travel bug pretty bad (it me), it’s easy to forget that there’s a whole world out there. A world outside your four walls, your hometown and everything and everyone that you know. Embrace it.
There’s nothing like travelling to broaden the mind and make you feel grateful for the things you’ve already got at home.
Because of this, you should expand your horizons and travel near and far as much as possible.
“I really regret all that travelling I did,” said no one ever.
3. You Have a Great Support System
One of the very best reasons why life is beautiful? Your support system.
Whether you’ve only got a handful of people you can count on or your popularity is ever-growing, you’re so lucky to have people in your life who love you.
And not just love you, for that matter, but love you fiercely.
Make sure you tell your support system regularly how much you appreciate them because why not? They should be told. Every day. Before it’s too late.
4. You’ve Experienced Love
If you’re over the age of 14/15/16 (?), you’ve probably already experienced love.
And I’m not just talking about the kind of love you have for your family and friends. I’m talking about that wild, passionate love you have for your other half (or romantic partners in the past if you’re currently single).
In fact, even if you haven’t yet experience that head-over-heels, can’t-live-without-them, I’d-die-for-them kind of love – I bet you’ve still had a taste of it.
And ain’t it grand? There’s nothing else in this world like it.
5. There’s Beauty All Around You
When it comes to reasons why life is beautiful, all you have to do is take a good, hard look around you. A lot of people get so used to their day-to-day surroundings that the novelty of the place that they live in soon wears off.
Why? Well, we become too distracted by working Monday-Friday and only having weekends off to catch up on life.
The truth is: if you actively start to look for beauty around you, then you will find it. And this gratitude for the little things makes life wonderful.
6. You Have Passions
Living on this gorgeous earth as long as you have, you’re bound to have become passionate about something (or things). And you probably love to consume yourself with these things on a regular basis.
(Personally, mine are writing, blogging and binge-watching shows on Netflix.)
My point is: if you spend your time doing the things that you enjoy and revel in your passions, you will appreciate life just that little bit more.
And don’t forget to find new passions as you evolve as a person, because why not? Variety is the spice of life, after all.
7. You Have a Purpose
Other reasons why life is beautiful: you earn money, you make a living and you contribute to the economy (or if you don’t yet then you will do one day).
Hopefully by doing this, you’re building a career you love and perhaps encompasses some of your greatest passions? If not, then why are you working in a job that makes you miserable?
Newsflash: only you have the ability to change a situation that’s unfulfilling. Therefore, get out of any job that makes you feel worthless and, instead, pursue something else you actively enjoy.
Life is too short to be anything short of happy.
8. There’s So Much to Look Forward To
Whether you’re in your teens and you’ve still got all your university years ahead of you or you’re middle-aged and yet to start a family, there are always things to look forward to in life.
Sometimes they’re only little things, like visiting your Grandma tomorrow evening and having a portion of her famous beef stew, or catching up on the latest episode of Game of Thrones you missed on TV the other night.
But still, there are always things to look forward to, whether big or small. And they make life worth living.
9. You’ve Made Some Incredible Memories Thus Far
One of my favourite reasons why life is beautiful? The memories you’ve already made.
Sure, you’re only supposed to look forward in life. But you can also look back, especially if you’re reminiscing happy memories.
The chances are, you’ve lived through some pretty amazing things already.
And if there are all those great experiences behind you, can you imagine what’s to come?
Well, I’ll tell you – even more good times! Hurrah.
10. You Get to Live Another Day
Every day you should wake up feeling thankful that you’re still alive.
You’re still here, living on this awe-inspiring planet and you’ve been given another opportunity to live life up to the max.
So, make sure that you make the most of every second. Because life is precious and we’ve only got one shot at this.
Embrace the Reasons Why Life is Beautiful
Even though it’s easy to lose sight of the bigger picture and often overlook the many reasons why life is beautiful, try to be more mindful going forward.
And remember: everybody has their daily struggles, but you can’t control anything negative that happens to you. You can only control how you react to it.
Let’s live every day to the fullest while we can. One day, it’ll all be over. But it’s not this day.

More reasons :
1. You get to create. You get to create things/moments/memories.
2. With everyday you wake up, you get opportunities to grow or to just feel the rhythm of life.
3. You get to make one or more acts of random kindness.
4. You get to pursue your dreams. Things you care about.
