Let’s face it, knitted jumpers are always in fashion for the Autumn/Winter season (mainly because they’re practical in the cold).
That said, I’m absolutely loving this year’s selection. After all, there seems to be one set rule: the cosier, the better!
More specifically, here are 3 types of chunky knits I’m loving for the Autumn/Winter 2017/18 season.
Bold Hues
If you haven’t already heard, rainbow bright chunky knits are going to be a huge trend Spring/Summer 2018. That’s why it’s a great idea to start building up next season’s wardrobe NOW.
Invest in fashion-forward pieces while a lot of lines are reduced in the good old January sales.
From sunshine yellow to pillar-box red, vivacity is key! Simply dress down loud and proud chunky knits with jeans and trainers for everyday looks.
Alternatively, dress them up with a Clueless-style check skirt and black knee-high boots for more formal occasions.
Either way, don’t be afraid to stand out with chunky knits in bold hues this season. They sure do brighten up a dreary, wintry day, don’t they?
Pretty Pastels
Gorgeous and feminine, pastel-hued chunky knits are a treat for the eyes during the winter season.
Pastels are not only on trend for AW17, but they show no signs of going out of style for SS18. This is thanks to designers such as Victoria Beckham and Celine.
With pink being one of the key colours of the moment, I spotted that River Island chunky cardigan on one of my fave influencers and simply had to grab it while I could.
As well as being super snugly, it’s so easy to throw on. Especially when you’re in rush to get to Tesco at 8.45pm on a freezing cold Friday and it closes at 9pm.
Animal Luxe
Lastly, a key trend for AW17, animal luxe has featured in abundance across the January sales’ knitwear category.
From leopard print to zebra patterns, it’s cool to create a Scary Spice-inspired aesthetic this season.
Merely team your animal luxe jumper with over-the-knee boots and giant hoop earrings for a night out with the gals. Or throw yours on over leggings and faux fur boots with a long-line blazer for smart-casual chic.
Making the Most Out of Chunky Knits
Whether you’re rather obsessed with chunky knits (like us) or simply want to stay warm during the winter, there are currently some great jumper and cardigan options available on the high street.
Oh, and when wearing one of these chunky knitted numbers feels like a giant hug, who needs a romantic partner?
Which are your favourite chunky knits this season?
