You’ve got to love the blogosphere.
As well as featuring high-quality creative content produced by some incredibly talented individuals, it’s also become a powerful tool that influences high street trends, blogger style and fashions of the moment.
The truth is: bloggers have a lot of say nowadays in terms of what’s going to sell in high street stores – and what isn’t.
Speaking of, whether it’s clothing, footwear or accessories, there seems to be specific pieces that are currently trending in the UK fashion blogging world.
(And I’m obsessed with each and every one of them!)
1. Gucci Dupe Belt
Blogger style essential 101: the Gucci dupe belt.
If you’ve been living under a rock, I’m talking about the black leather/faux leather waist belt that has two interlocking gold Gs in the centre.
And if you can’t afford the real version, ASOS did a dupe with two interlocking gold circles instead of the Gs, which I proudly own.
Either way, this chic and versatile belt is a great way to define your waist when teamed with high-waisted bottoms or a baggy dress. I’m in love.
2. High-Waisted Jeans
Speaking of the Gucci dupe belt, did you know that this looks amazing when paired with high-waisted jeans? It hugs your hips and essentially creates an hourglass figure.
And whether you decide to opt for the Mum style or 1970s-inspired indigo flares, one thing’s for sure: high-waisted jeans are the perfect way to achieve blogger style. Fast.
3. Deep V-Neck Crop Top With Floaty Sleeves
Likewise, why not combine your Gucci dupe belt and high-waisted jeans with a crop top that has a deep V-neck and floaty sleeves with a flute hem?
You know the kind. They’re all over your ‘Gram at the moment. And they’re super pretty!
That said, if you’re not feeling the crop top, jeans and belt look, swap your jeans and belt for wide-legged, high-waisted trousers or culottes and sandals for ultimate summertime cool.
4. Tassel Earrings
Okay, so are you even a fashionista if you don’t have a pair of tassel earrings in your accessory collection right now?
Having practically dominated the jewellery scene for the past few seasons, tassel earrings are back in full force in a multitude of hues and designs a la Topshop.
And most fashion bloggers have around 453 pairs to play with on a daily basis.
5. Grab-and-Go Bag
At the time of writing this, straw bags are reigning supreme on the affordable handbag scene.
But, in terms of the luxury sector, every self-professed style maven knows that the Michael Kors grab-and-go cutie is the current arm candy of choice.
I’m talking about those dinky square-shaped totes with two short handles (and perhaps an extra cross-body strap) in classic white, black, grey or beige.
Why these staple hues, you ask? Well, because they’ll go with practically any outfit colour palette, of course.
6. Slogan Tee
Another easy way to showcase blogger style at the moment is through a statement slogan tee.
Whatever yours says, be sure to dress down the rest of your outfit to let this key piece stand out and do the talking.
7. Branded Trainers
From Nike to Adidas, Vans to Converse, fashion bloggers love their branded trainers. Especially since the sports luxe movement began in the style-sphere a few seasons’ back.
And the best thing about this kind of shoe? It’s just as comfy as it is stylish.
8. Jacket Draped Over the Shoulders
Fashion bloggers are also currently enjoying a jacket draped over their shoulders every time they leave the house.
Sure, it’s a great way of keeping warm and it creates elegant and effortless style. However, on the practicality scale, it’s not the highest.
Wear with caution.
9. Layered Necklace
Alongside tassel earrings, the layered necklace as a necessary accessory to help you adopt fashion blogger style.
Whether it’s silver or gold, expensive or more affordable, this jewellery piece is a fabulous way to adorn an outfit and turn heads for all the right reasons.
I have a few in my collection and I love wearing them with high-waisted bottoms and a crop top that has a deep V-neck and floaty sleeves(!). Know what I’m saying?
10. Throw-On Blazer
As I mentioned earlier, fashion bloggers like to drape their jackets strategically over their shoulders when they leave the house.
But did you also know that they like to throw on a tailored blazer when they’re not wearing a jacket as a cape?
The idea is to instantly dress up the rest of your pieces using layering to create a fashion-forward, fluent ensemble.
Achieving Blogger Style
Fashion blogger style is easy to achieve once you know which pieces to invest in.
Whether you opt for one of these 10 pieces or come up with alternatives based on your own observations, why not try a trend that’s a little out of your comfort zone?
After all, you’ll never what you’re going to like fashion-wise until you try it.
